Big Pharma’s Need for Acquisitions Increasing

According to The Deal’s recent interview with Dr. Matt Higgins, Management Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology, big pharma’s need to acquire new technology is increasing. He explains that expanded competition from generics and internal productivity issues with research not pumping out as many new drugs are to blame. What could potentially be viewed as a problem for larger pharmaceuticals could in fact be good news for smaller biotech’s like us.
